Alaira trudged through the deep snow. Icy wind and snow blasting everywhere. A storm had hit and she needed to take shelter-wouldn't be good to be killed by the cold. She was made for it-how embarrassing. She shut her eyes for a moment, holding still to not get blown away by the wind blasting and trying to push her away. When it calmed down slightly, she opened her eyes to catch sight of a cave-big enough for two. Perfect. Her legs moved towards, moving slowly to stay on the ground-rather than joining the birds. She eventually made it into the little den and shook out her fur-getting the ice and snow off to leave her fluffy fur wet and deranged. She licked her chops as she sat down, watching the storm hit harder and harder.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
"Got lost in the storm too?" A calm voice came from the edge of the den. The silver she glanced at the brown one, her blue eyes glowing in the dark of the den. The she's fur was damp and slightly dripping at the ends, however, she managed to get her wet fur now dry while she waited for the storm to pass. Shaking out her heavy neck fur, she waited quietly for the response.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira turned to the voice in the cave. She admitted, that it did shock her someone else was in the cave-but she didn't let it show. "Yeah it's pretty harsh out there." She murmured, her amber gaze looking at the female in interest. Well, this female seemed like she was part of HighMountain-one of the few females in the pack. "I'm assuming you as well?" She asked, her brown ears perking while water dripped down from her fur.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
She gave a small smile at her. A good first impression to her at least. The young wolf shifted a bit, to a more comfortable position. Giving her fur a quick lick, she then gazed at the other female. "Yes, hunting is difficult in the snow" she muttered. Her eyes seemed tired, like she had been hunting for a while now. Her ears perked however, at the sound of the roaring wind.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira turned her gaze to the wind outside, her tail flicking as she blinked.  "You were hunting? Interesting. What were you hunting?" She asked, her head turning back to the pretty grey female. She was kinda tempted to simply put her thoughts about the female out there, but only really managed to whisper a little 'cute' to herself. The female's smile was simply adorable on her perfectly fluffy face. But, the sound of rushing wind blew out her thoughts and made her attention go to the snow.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska gave a quiet hum before responding to the female's question. "A lemming" the she whispered. Standing up with a small crack from her neck, she moved a little closer. It was cold at the back of the den. "Who might you be however?" she asked, sitting down a few hops away from Alaira. The snow became less harsh, but was still strong to the wolves. Poking her head out slightly, the female then shot her head back in, sneezing a slight bit. Her muzzle and cheek fluff was dusted with snow and made it look like ice drops. "So much snow" she said, shaking out her white dusted face.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira flicked her ear in the female's direction before glancing back over at the grey female. Lemming, interesting choice to hunt. She gave the female a nod in response and tilted her head at her question. "Alaira. What about you?" She asked, raising a brow at her action. "Cold?" She asked, shaking her head to escape some shivers as the other female poked her head out for a few moments to get a blast of snow on her cheek fluff. Adorable. "Well, I wonder why." she joked, sending the female a smirk.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
"Eliska" she answered. "It was cold back there" the silver-grey wolf mumbled, hearing Alaira ask if she was cold. Giving a soft snort to get the rest of the snow off her nose, Eliska glanced with a teasing glare to the sarcastic comment she made. "Yeah, I wonder" she chuckled softly.  Thinking for a split second her black paw reached out and rolled some snow closer to her. Eliska then flicked the snow onto the brown wolf and smirked softly, blue eyes glowing.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira smiled at the female at the mention of her name. "Eliska." She tested out on her own tongue. Alaira chuckled at the female's teasing glare and her amusing response. Alaira sharply gasped at the snow being thrown at her and playfully got some snow of her own, before scraping some on the grey she wolf. "That's cold!" She chuckled, before shaking her fur out and retaining her neutral look. "I wonder when this... totally not a snowstorm, will pass." She murmured, watching the storm lighten a little.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska puffed out her cheeks and leaped to the side a bit, her eyes still playful. She smiled softly and chuckled along. Shaking out her heavy grey fur, she then quickly started to lick it dry. Although her fur was thick, it wasn't water proof and got wet quickly. "Who knows? Snow lasts quite a while here" she said. Looking out once she finished cleaning her fur and licking her jaws. "It's been going on for quite some time" the fluffy wolf whispered.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira flicked her ear at the female's silly antics and chuckled slightly. She licked her chest fur for a moment before laying on the ground. "True, but i have to agree with you-it's been going on for a while now." She nodded, glancing over at the female for a few moments. Her amber eyes glanced up at the top of the den to see piles of rock an dirt-interesting. Not really. She simply was bored. "So, what are your goals?" She asked all of the sudden, turning her attention to the female.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
"My goals?" She asked, meeting her gaze with Alaira's conflicting brown one. Resting on her belly, and lazily laying her head. Slowly she started to speak. Giving an awkward cough for what she was about to say her goal was. "I only have one.." she started, Eliska gave a soft huff, "to find how many designs there are in the sky" the grey wolf finally spoke. "What about you? Anything interesting you think of?" she asked. It was weird not being vague for once.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira perked her ears when she asked about the question and she nodded, scooting a little closer to listen in more. "That's quite... An interesting goal." She hesitated. She wouldn't have thought a female of HighMountain would have such a flowery goal. She hummed as she thought of her own and have a grin. "To become a rook and replay Altaire for what he has done for me." She stated without a second thought. "Oh, and also complete the Ice Cape Challange~" She added with a smirk.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
"We're quite opposite, aren't we?" she chuckled, fluttering her eyes closed for a thought. "Altaire must have a special place in your heart, in order for you to owe so much" she whispered. Her face then came to one of concentration. The Ice Cape Challenge...she has yet to begin that test. Eliska let that thought slip away and opened her eyes once more to the snow outside. Between the flecks of white, there were streaks of dark orange and red. "It's turning dusk" she muttered, lifting her head with twitching ears.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira nodded, a grin plastered onto her face. "Indeed. Though, stars are pretty-I do have to say." She snickered, before nodding at the female's other comment. "Yes. He is my best friend, and my savior. I owe him so much." She sighed, a little momentally while she thought for a few moments. Finding all of the star designs in the sky is pretty Interesting-but too... Soft for her tastes. Her attention was brought to the colours softly poking through the white blizzard. "Indeed it is... It'll only get colder from here on out, until tomorrow morning." She sighed, curling up a little to keep warm.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Taking in all the information, she nodded. Eliska buried her nose in her fur and blinked against the white, looking for the special glimmer that always catches her eye. With a soft breath, she curled her body up and pressed it against the den wall, glancing at the ground with lidded eyes. Scenting something in the den, she glanced over and blinked. "The lemming.." she muttered. "I forgot that I brought it in here". Eliska stood and slinked over, grabbing the fur in her jaws before walking back and plopping in on the ground. "Feel free to have some if you want, it's still warm" she whispered, curling up again.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira perked her ears, but closed her eyes. She kinda was tired, but the constant feeling of the cold bit at her nose. Damn storm. Her eyes opened when she mentioned the Lemming and she glanced over at the prey. Sure, she'll take a few bites. It'll warm her up a bit. So, with that in mind, she got up and crawled over to it before taking a few bites. After finishing her bites, she passed it over to Eliska. "You have some too." She murmured as she curled around again.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska glanced at the wolf as she did then moved the lemming to the edge of the den once Alaira was finished. She really wasn't that hungry. With a soft sniff, she watched her breath come out in a small cloud. The grey wolf curled up, her back to the outside. Burying her nose in her tail, she wished for sweet dreams and good thoughts before she slept.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira hummed as her offer went back into her ball, she frowned. Should she? She was kinda cold, so... She got off the ground and trotted over to the female before laying down beside her. Making sure she wasn't leaning on her too much, but simple back to back contact for both of them to keep warm. She hoped she wouldn't anger or stress the female out-but, she was cold. So she'd get what she wants whenever she wants.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska's ears perked and she raised her head slightly at Alaira's movements. How strange, she didn't think most High mountain wolves were kind. With a small whisper of thanks, she curled back into a ball. Grateful that she was willing to share some body heat. With a glance at the rocky ceiling, the thoughts of sleep were thrown out. Stars. Even though the snow was waving you could still see the stars. With a small smile she looked up and watched them twinkle, counting them.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Her expression became neutral as she closed her eyes, slowly drifting to sleep. Sure, her act might be seen as kind-but she was merely getting what she wanted; warmth. Nothing more, nothing less. Mayyyyybe she did think her packmate should survive, so maybe that was part of the reason, but most of it was her own greed. So, with that and her plans for her future in mind, she slowly only saw the darkness of slumber.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
As the hours of the night passed, a soft bird call sounded through the den. Eliska had wandered out of the den and was laying in the snow, thankful that the storm had slowly subsided. It was still snowing however.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the sudden loss of warmth on her back. She opened her eyes to see Eliska wandering outside of the den. Thank goodness the storm has left-but it was still snowing, which isn't bad. She got off the ground and moved out of the den to get a good look at the surroundings, even more covered in snow. The snow, that used to be around a little higher than ankle deep, was now almost touching her belly. Great.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
The young wolf seemed to be having trouble moving through the snow. She seemed to leap then fall face first. Letting out heavy huffs. Eliska didn't notice that Alaira had awoke, and only focused on moving around to attempt to make a trail. Shaking out her fur, she seemed like a small bunny leaping through. Her face was one of slight concentration as she pawed and sunk in the ground with each movement.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira traveled right behind the bunny; Eliska and chuckled. "You like a di formed rabbit." She huffed, laying crouching to hide in the snow-but it failed. Her coat definitely wasn't white, so she wasn't camouflaged. Her Amber eyes glimmered for a moment before she glanced over at their surroundings. She could spot a few pack-mates from the distance they were at. Everyone seemed to have woken up too. Interesting.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska huffed as she glanced behind to the brown wolf. "And you look like a decaying log" she joked. She came to a stop as she realized what Alaira was looking up. Wagging her tail she looked and followed her gaze, spotting the other pack members. "What do you think they're doing?" she asked with a small hint of nervousness.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira snorted and gave the female a smirk. "Thank you very much." She rolled her eyes at the comment. She did not look like a decaying log-at least she hoped so. Alaira narrowed her eyes and shook her head. "Who knows, who cares?" She huffed, standing back up and waddling though the belly-high snow. "Anyways, we should head back to camp." She stated as she trudged through the white substance.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska stared after her, not quite ready to go yet. "You go ahead, I'll go later" she said, turning to the Dead Lands, she could see it from the corner of her eye and it interested her. With a swinging tail, the shy hopped through the snow, hoping to not fall or step on something. This land reminded her of something...but what? It seemed so familiar in a nostalgic way.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira turned her head to the female with a curious glance and narrowed her eyes at the Dead lands. "Be careful if you venture over there. Wolves will go in and never be found again." She warned before she turned back around to head back to camp. If the female disappears, then it's not really her problem. She DID warn her. It's Eliska's choose to follow.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska stared into the Dead Lands, the feeling was stronger and she gasped quietly. With a quick turn she ran after Alaira. "My home, my home!" she cried, rushing over and slipping onto the ground. She gasped and heaved, her eyes wild and filled with emotions. Glancing at the sky, she then whimpered and shook her head.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira stopped and quickly turned to hear and see Eliska turn right around, helping that home would be better. Looks like she seemed to freak the girl out! Odd. She watched the female for a few seconds, should she try to comfort her? "Hey, it's okay. Don't be scared. Just know not to go there and you'll be fine." What even is she scared about anyways? Silly girl.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
"That place...the Dead Lands...it's a mirror version of my pup home" she whispered. She wasn't scared, just shocked and amazed at how similar the two places were. Eliska looked back, so much emotion was building inside of her and it was difficult to control it. The rocks and the  dips in the ground, it reminded her of...her brother.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira rolled her eyes a little. She didn't know what it felt like to remember and have so many emotions about her own birth place. She's left it behind, and there was no going back. Not that she wanted to. There are too many memories of abuse and blood. But, of course, she wouldn't mind going back in time to see Altaire being protective over her again.
Alaira turned around too look at the female and sat in the ground. "Really? That's really interesting!" She said smoothly, giving out a lie. She didn't find it interesting. Only odd.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
She glanced back to the female wolf then to the ground. Clawing the snow, her teeth bared and she let out a quiet growl. Something clicked in her mind and it caused her to be hateful of those lands. Although it was amazing how closely related it seemed, she saw a dead flower and instantly tore it apart once her eyes glanced to it. "Don't lie" she said lowly to Alaira. Eliska wouldn't even care at this point.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira glanced over at the seemingly frustrated female. She raised a brow at the female's comment. "Who says I'm lying? Why do you think I'm lying?" She asked, quite surprised the female caught the lie. Though, she didn't let it show on her face and instead, she frowned. Showing that she was serious. Alaira tilted her head slightly in a curious manner and glanced down at the poor, ripped up flower.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
"The tone of your voice had a sarcastic tone, I can hear that stuff you know. I'm called observant for a reason" she whispered, before letting out a heavy sigh. Eliska glanced at the flower and buried it in the snow, "I hate those flowers" she whispered, glaring at it. With a slow hum, she gently lowered her voice and closed her eyes. Hearing the soft wind flow, she easily calmed down and gave a relaxed sigh.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira cackled, her voice loud and clear. Truly, maybe this female wasn't so silly after all. "Well, it seems you've caught me! I suppose you're not a silly little wolf like everyone else." She trotted a little. Her gaze drifted to the flowers and she looked back to watch the female. Was she going to do something?

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska slowly stood and didn't say anything back to the female. Those blue, white, and silver flowers had haunted her for so long. Padding across the snow to the flower bush that stood near the tree, the stared and thought. Should she? It was destroying her. Baring her jaws and letting out a low growl, her teeth hit the soft petals of the flowers. She felt them rip and tear under her jaws and in her mind, smiled in satisfaction. She did this to every flower on that bush, until petal scraps covered the snow. The female was huffing and out of breath, her tail shaking.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira silently watched the female. Curiously, she wondered what those flowers meant to the female-as she wanted to rip them all apart so badly.  Her gaze fell to the ripped up petals that used to be flowers. Interesting that she'd ruin such delicate things. Would she ruin a wolf with a flower for a personality? Her ears perked at the sound of huffing, but she stayed silent, observing, thinking.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska glanced over her shoulder to Alaira. "You're curious, aren't you?" she asked softly, her eyes slowly growing dark as she stared. Turning her gaze to the flowers and the ripped up petals. Gently she covered the heavy snow onto them, and smelled the sweet scent of the flowers fade away.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira hummed and flicked her ear. "Curious, yes." She replied, her eyes narrowing at the flowers as she covered them up with snow. In-effectively. There were many pieces of the petals scattered about the area, but she turned her attention back on Eliska.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
The wolf had steadied her breathing and shut her eyes in deep thought. "When I was a pup, I had a younger brother. He was so sweet and kind...one day however, a sickness came around and he was the first to get it. Since he was the runt, he became very weak and a few days once he got it..." she stopped and took a heavy breath. "he died. I was so young, I didn't understand why he wasn't moving. My mother and father didn't tell me, and buried him under a flower hill. As I grew, I realized. I became depressed and hated flowers, they were a memory of what happened to my poor baby brother..." Eliska finished. Her ears were down and her breath became faint.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
She stayed quiet for a few moments before chuckling at the story. "So you're upset at the flowers because life took its course? How silly." She cackled, hitting the ground with one paw, as if it was the funniest thing in the world. Sure, she did realize that it was a little sad, and the female took it too heart. But who really cares about the dead? "Listen. You shouldn't be caught up in the dead. They're gone and you're still alive. Move on, and forget. It's life. Wolves die, wolves are born. It's natural." She rolled her eyes, as if it was the simplest thing in the world.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska held a venomous gaze to the brown wolf, something she usually never gave before. Now she would resort to having vague answers and questions. She didn't understand, it took a deep psychological affect on the grey wolf. Alaira couldn't really know what it was like, only living with family and no other wolf around her. A family member dies, a part of your soul dies. "Your thoughts" she spoke, starting to walk to the pack home, refusing to glance at the wolf.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira chucked and rolled at her eyes at the female's silly display of childish thinking, giving her a venomous glare-which she found hilarious, not really scary or hurtful at all. Her tail flicked in amusement and she twitched her ear when she heard the words. "Exactly, there's no reason for you to be upset by them. They're my opinions~" She smirked, following the silly female.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska didn't answer. She didn't want to answer. She only flicked her tail in the brown wolves face and picked up her speed into a fast trot. The silver wolf wanted some space from the chuckling female. With some huffs against the snow, the female gave a small yelp as she fell in a small ditch covered with snow.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
She chuckled at the female's reaction: slapping her tail in her face. She shook her head, amused. Well, she had her fun-maybe she felt the tiniest bad about it. But, as soon as she found herself a bit always from the female-she fell in a ditch. Stupid girl. Alaira dashed over, her legs pushing her forward. It wouldn't be good to just leave her packmate in there. So, when she arrived she gave the female an amused grin. "Something seemed to catch you~

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska had a small glare still, and chucked snow at the brown wolf, which hit her straight in the face. "Uh huh..." she muttered, clawing her way out of the ditch and to the other side. She shook out her fur, since she looked like a powdered donut thanks to the snow. A shaky breath escaped her jaws and her eyes glanced to the sky, a questioning frown on her face. Odd...something was up with the snow.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira gave Eliska a face that wasn't amused in the slightest bit. But, as soon as the snow slid off her face, she sighed, rolling her eyes before sitting down. She frowned when realizing the female was looking at the sky and she followed her gaze. "What's up?" She asked, a smirk appearing on her snout.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
"The snow..." she muttered. "It's picking up again" the wolf said. The pattern of the weather was very off, and she shivered slightly as it came up.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira raised a brow and hummed nodding as she moved forward. "Anyways, let's go back-the others might worry if we're gone for too long. Or they'll send those signals. If you know what I mean~" she joked, giving the female a smirk with a little wiggle of her brows. Suggesting something that might be a little inappropriate for this time and place. Especially after what she's said and all. But, who cares? It's in the past now.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska's eyes widen and she felt her face heat up a bit, "those words" she knew what it meant, she wasn't stupid. "Fine..." she whispered, coughing awkwardly. Quickly she picked up a trot and sped off, her tail lashing. Of course Alaira would do that, why? She doesn't know. While it made her chuckle, she held it back and laughed internally, trying to get home fast.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
She chuckled at the female's reaction. The heated face and the wide eyes-simply hilarious. She followed behind, not as quickly as the female, but still following. Her Amber gaze drifted towards the camp. Hopefully Altaire won't be mad at her for being away for so long...

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska stepped into the pack  and glanced around, the other wolves simply gave a glance at her, not seeming to care that she was there. She was new though, it was expected. Flicking a black tail, she looked behind her to Alaira, wondering why she was taking a while.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira hummed a small tune as she strolled into camp a little behind Eliska, a little song her younger sister came up with before she perished. Her amber gaze caught Eliska's blue ones and she gave her a smirk. A few wolves turned to either stare or glare at her. Most wolves don't like her due to her rudeness and her cocky behavior. Maybe also due to her cruelty.

Noticing glares aimed at Alaira from the corner of her eye, Eliska tilted her head at Alaira. "Why are those wolves...staring at you?" she asked, her voice soft as she padded forward slightly. It made her feel slightly uncomfortable. Why did these wolves not have a caring glare, or maybe just an 'eh' look. The female sniffed slightly and shook her head.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira raised her brow at the female's question. Did she really not know? Wow. How silly. "Well, as you probably have relized-i'm not the nicest around. Some just don't care, others I may or may not have hurt in different ways." She huffed, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world-which it really was. She rolled her eyes and continued to stroll into the camp, making her way to the middle of it before shaking out her fur and sitting down. She glanced over at the grey she-wolf. Wondering if she thought differently of her now. Not that she really cared.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
"Rude..." the silver wolf thought. Eliska sighed and shook her head carefully, before padding to a lone tree and laying under it. Her eyes slowly shut, and she looked peaceful under the falling snow. How long had they been gone from the pack? It seemed everyone forgot about her, but not Alaira, she didn't mind however, it made her feel like she could actually get some of her own thoughts settled down. The female swayed slowly before falling asleep onto her side. Eliska gave a soft huff before falling into a slumber.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
Alaira sighed before she glanced over at the she-wolf. Was she falling asleep? Silly. She's defenseless like that~ She shook her head and trotted over, her body slumping down right beside the grey female, before curling herself up. "Silly, sleeping alone is never good-you're defenseless~" She smirked while she closed her amber eyes, flattening her ears while leaning on the female slightly. Her fur barely brushing the other's.

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
Eliska fluttered open an eye and shook her head slowly, pawing the other wolf's face with a gentle paw. "I'm a light sleeper you know, I'm also aware of that but I don't mind" she chuckled quietly. Alaira is so odd, flipping from one emotion to the next, it confused the young silver wolf. With a quiet hum, she carefully shut her eyes and ignored the other wolves around her. The snow still seemed to fall, Eliska didn't care at this point, she wanted some damn rest.

<da:thumb id="691888596"/>
She chuckled and raised a brow when the other female paws her in the face. Odd girl-but intriguing. She listened to her words and chuckled again. "Alright, suit yourself~" She said as she got up. "But, don't come crying to me if someone decides to hurt you." She said, a harsh growl escaped from her throat before swiftly turning away with the final words of; "Goodnight!" In a perkier tone. But, she smirked as she walked away. Maybe she could play around with this female as well? Many pawns for her king~

<da:thumb id="693165853"/>
I would never go crying to a wolf like you" she thought. Eliska shut her eyes and became invested in her own dream. Pawsteps pounded against the ground as she ran across the ways. The wolf held a smile on her face as she ran through familiar territory, her grin growing bigger as she recognized the outline of her family in the distance. Back into reality the wolf was twitching her ears, and kicking her back leg out slowly. She didn't notice some of the wolves give amused grins, or odd looks at her. She was happy in her dream as it was.
